Are my files actually private?
Yes. Every tool runs in your browser using pdf-lib and pdf.js — the PDF bytes are read into memory, processed locally, and written back. Open DevTools → Network while you process a file and you'll see zero file uploads. The one exception: PII redaction and contract analysis send the extracted plain text (not the PDF) to a scanning service, and that service keeps no copy.
What does SealedPDF see on your server?
Your email, your plan, a monthly usage counter, and an audit row that says 'you ran the merge tool at this time.' No file names, no content, no hashes, no IPs tied to work.
Is this bar-compliant for attorneys?
Because PDF files never leave your device, SealedPDF avoids the third-party disclosure question that SaaS PDF tools trigger under Model Rule 1.6(c). You remain the sole custodian of client data while working.
How is pricing structured?
Free: 5 operations per month with a small watermark. Solo: $39/month flat for unlimited work. Firm: $79 per seat per month and adds matter-based organization.
